Taking on the best teams in the region is nothing new for 01G Beattie, and this weekend was no exception.  

 

The girls traveled to Houston to participate in the 26th annual Texas Shootout.  The event draws State, Regional and National level teams and clubs from all over the country.   The girls had to battle not only stiff competition but also the hottest weekend of the year in Houston.  Saturday morning the girls notched a 1-0 victory over host club Challenge 01.  In the steamy afternoon match the girls overcame a 1-0 deficit and earned a well-deserved 1-1 result against a tough physical Lonestar 01 squad.  The weekend capped an excellent spring campaign, which included Tournament Championships at the KC Mother’ Day and Lexus Cup.
